Finding new ways to lose

This is getting ridiculous.  The Cubs lose a game in the 11th without giving up a hit.  Three walks (1 intentional) and a hit batsman result in a heart-breaking 2-1 lose.  The only saving grace is that Milwaukee keeps losing so we don’t fall farther behind.  We’re just wasting great opportunities to gain ground.

An extra-inning loss like this makes it an even longer plane ride home from California.  At least the Cubs have a game tomorrow, so they don’t have long to think about all of those missed opportunities.  I’ll be at tomorrow’s Memorial Day game against the Marlins.  I just hope I bring them better luck (and weather) than the last time I was there.
