At least the weather’s been nice
What more can I say, the baseball has been pretty rotten at Wrigley the last few days. But as they say: “A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day in the office.” The same applies to a pleasant day or evening spent in the Friendly Confines.
It was nice to see them not give up in the 9th inning yesterday, although it just made it hurt more when they ultimately fell short.
Tonight’s loss puts us 6 games under .500 (22-28) which I think is a low point for the year. Pittsburgh even leap-frogged us, sending us to third place in the Division. It’s not going to get any easier, with Atlanta coming to town, then leaving for must-win games in Milwaukee.
