And now back to baseball…
I took the All-Star break off, but I’m back now, rested and ready to see the Cubs take their hot streak into the second half. I’m sure Hendry has been working the phones and will be making a few trades before the July 31 trade deadline. My guess is that Pie will be sent down for more hitting experience and Jones and Izturis might be finding new homes. I just hope that the Cubs being for sale doesn’t tie Hendry’s hands too much.
Speaking of the Cubs being on the block, I read today that there are so many players in the mix, that the bidding will probably reach $1 billion. That would include the Cubs, Wrigley Field and the Tribune’s share of Comcast SportsNet. Looks like I’ll need a larger loan than originally expected!
