Time to learn the words
In preparation for a few more victories this season, and to show that you haven’t just jumped on the bandwagon, here are the words to “Go Cubs Go.” You will no longer have to mumble with everyone else between the refrains.
For those that don’t know, ”Go Cubs Go” was written and sung by the late Steve Goodman. He was a great Chicago folk legend and a huge Cub fan who died in 1984 of leukemia at only 36, just weeks before the Cubs made the playoffs.

Thank you for the words! We were at the game on Saturday and can’t get the song out of our head, but couldn’t remember all of the words~

Glad to help. Your comment reminded me that I should probably repost the words again in a current posting. There is a new CD available, Take Me Out To A Cubs Game, that includes this song as well as another twenty or so Cubs-related songs from the past. Go Cubs!
