Now Can We Win on the Road?
In years past the Cubs and their fans have dreaded the annual West Coast road trip. The Cubs rarely fared well. There is reason to be optimistic headed into this year’s trip however, least being that the Cubs are 14-2 against the NLW so far this season. Of course, most of those wins were at Wrigley, but hopefully an above .500 roadtrip won’t be out of reach.
The Cubs were 7-0 this last homestand for the first time since 1970. They also have the best record in the Majors. The last time the Cubs had the best record in baseball in June was in 1908, also the last year they won the World Series. Of course, facts like this do nothing towards getting them back to the post-season. Sure does put a smile on your face though. Now for a week of late night games…
